Tips to stitch on dark fabric

Does any one have easy tips to stitch on dark fabric to share just to make stitching easy and quick...

d3lta Publish time 2023-1-1 15:01

Best tips. Use a 14 count aida fabric, place fabric in a hoop, and work over a light box. It makes the holes easy to see and prevents eye strain. I love the look of brighter color on the dark fabric it makes it pop

ValerieAnne Publish time 2023-5-23 10:33

I always use a light, at the brightest setting I have behind the fabric (and maybe in front if it's a neck light). I also only use 11 or 14 ct as that's as small as I can go and see the holes lol

xolga Publish time 2023-3-15 03:09

Put something light underneath, a light source or a white fabric. Try to stitch in good lighting conditions too, and let your eyes rest often.

Whenever I stitch on black fabric, I always have a sheet of white paper on my lap.
It makes a big difference. It is easier to see the holes in the fabric.
Also, I do not stitch on black at night.
