One is the official Holiday fairy that uses Crescent Colour Flosses and Mill Hill Beads. It uses 11 colours. The Second is the .pat file of the fairy that was used in the design I made for my sister. Thank you very much for sharing this great pattern ! **Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ****Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ** Thanks! Very nice of you to upload your remade version with the DMC. I hope to stitch this one someday and I\ll be using the DMC No problem, its hard to get the speciality varigated flosses here in Australia so when i decided to make the pattern for my sister I wanted to make it look good in the DMC colours that I could get easily so i decided to make it up in metallics and all that, turned out really good. Thank you :) Thank you very much very nice. thanks wow phoenixdark, Im blown away to find that you are sharing your reworking, as I was reading your finished thread a little while ago. Its so generous of you, thank you very much! Reply 7# bluebird
lol, its no problem! Its hard to get the flosses to do the original here in Australia, I have to order them in from overseas. Dmc is so much easier to get, and i think the finished producted turned out not to bad...it took a lot of counting out though as I made the patern from a picture subsituting the colours that kinda matched, rather than playing with the original pattern Phoenixdark, I'm from Oz too & I know EXACTLY what you mean about the difficulties of getting supplies - I had a terrible problem trying to find a coloured plastic canvas for a cross stitch pattern I wanted, ended up totally exasperated. (even Spotlight is reducing their range of stock :dizzy:)
I tried substituting colours on a project once, the result was appalling, so I'm marveling at the awesome job YOU did, its truly sensational ANDthe fact that you're sharing it with us, too! That's just so cool! I'm heaps amazed! Reply 9# bluebird
All Spotlight seems to be doing is reducing their stock! my local one got rid of all the kenirik threads! it was like a disasterous! and then they put up the price of the mill hill beads! all in like the space of like 2 weeks...i was like wat the
Im at the point where I have my own conversion list for threads like crescent colours and all that. I also buy stuff in bulk from the craft shows...spotlights material is just crappy!
