Question about Q-snap

I rip a white paper towel into strips.I use two layers over my work.Also, I always remove the clamp when I'm done for the day.When my stitching isn't covered, the clamps stay on until I'm finished:)

As others have already said, try to put something between your fabric and the clamps. You may also want to twist them a little to un-stretch the fabric when you're done stitching for the day.
