I use 28 piecemaker needles generally on either 28ct or 32ct linen
what do you use or suggest?

I really like Bohin's tapestry needles, they seem to last longer than other ones.In terms of size, I think I prefer 24 or 26.

I use sizes 26 (for Aida 16ct and Belfast Linen 32ct) and 28 (for Aida 18ct, Lugana 25 and for backstitches).
In UK I buy DMC or John James needles.

I use local needles, so there's no need to mention the name ))) always 32 count linen (or 16 Aida), tapestry needles - #26 for 2 threads or #24 for 4-5 threads.

I just got my first piecemakers needles, size 26 on 28 ct linen, 2 over 2.Love them, they are smooth, easy to thread

I mostly use chinese needles cause they are cheap. But when I ordered my silks, I got some fully golden needles (not just gold plated). I wonder if they are better to work with silks.
