Best needles to use
I use 28 piecemaker needles generally on either 28ct or 32ct linenwhat do you use or suggest?
I really like Bohin's tapestry needles, they seem to last longer than other ones.In terms of size, I think I prefer 24 or 26. thank you i've never tried them I use sizes 26 (for Aida 16ct and Belfast Linen 32ct) and 28 (for Aida 18ct, Lugana 25 and for backstitches).
In UK I buy DMC or John James needles. I use local needles, so there's no need to mention the name ))) always 32 count linen (or 16 Aida), tapestry needles - #26 for 2 threads or #24 for 4-5 threads. John James, I prefer the size 26 petites. I just got my first piecemakers needles, size 26 on 28 ct linen, 2 over 2.Love them, they are smooth, easy to thread static/image/common/user_online.gif xxstitcher static/image/common/clock.gif 2020-9-30 17:28

I do, too.Somehow I stitch faster with the petites. And I waste a bit less thread, too. I mostly use chinese needles cause they are cheap. But when I ordered my silks, I got some fully golden needles (not just gold plated). I wonder if they are better to work with silks. Following this thread
