I really like Bohin's tapestry needles, they seem to last longer than other ones.  In terms of size, I think I prefer 24 or 26.

I use local needles, so there's no need to mention the name ))) always 32 count linen (or 16 Aida), tapestry needles - #26 for 2 threads or #24 for 4-5 threads.

I just got my first piecemakers needles, size 26 on 28 ct linen, 2 over 2.  Love them, they are smooth, easy to thread

I mostly use chinese needles cause they are cheap. But when I ordered my silks, I got some fully golden needles (not just gold plated). I wonder if they are better to work with silks.
