It's not compulsory. As long as it's clean, then it's fine. If it's a little bit dusty then you can...

Thanks for the tips, I just finished spending months on Motherly Devotion & have marks dust/dirt marks from my q snaps which I kept clean (I left it in the frame for awhile) now I have to try & clean it, my own fault I just hope the cleaning will work.:(
