I have 2 that I use constantly. Yes the threads can get tangled up but if you don't have them shorter lengths they don't tangle as much. They look good but never used one. I sort my floss on a sheet of hardboard screwed to the wall and then small panel pins nailed onto it at intervals in several rows and I hang the floss on the nails in numerical order.  My wonderful husband made it for me, itis out of the way on the wall behind the door, I can see at a glance the colour numbers and it was cheap to make.  A simple idea but so useful.
