Hello everyone, I'm freshly new here since about maybe an hour or so ago.
I'm also still completely new to crocheting. I have only learned to do a chain and single crochet so far. But I've been looking for a lot of resources for when I learn more and this seems like heaven! (I might also learn to knit once I've gotten the hand of crochet)
The website is a bit overwhelming though, so I still need to figure out what I should be doing or not here. Is there a rules page anywhere? Anyway, I'm so excited to be here! This will undoubtedly be invaluable once I become better at crocheting. I also have a friend who has been crocheting for 2 years already. She's the one that inspired me to start with it. She will undoubtedly love this site too.
Also, if anyone knows what books are the best to start learning with, those recommendations would be more than welcome. Because I have way too many books digitally and don't know with which one to start ^^' I heard the Modern Crochet Bible is a good one to start with.
Thank you for reading this : ) And if you have any questions for me, feel free to ask them :D
I might have to do it that way at first too. Because I'm a visual learner as well. I need someone to show it to me before being able to do it myself. But I'm sure that once I've got the basics down, the books will be a tremendous help and source of inspiration too.
Welcome to this community! You can read all the rules here: PinDIY.com»Forum›Communication Area (new thread and reply)›Free Talk
Just browse the topics and read.
I am a cross stitcher/embroiderer but there are TONS of crochet patterns here, including books. Be sure to check the Knitting and Crochet Forums.
Good luck!
Welcome~~!!!! <3 I'm a visual learner so I learnt how to crochet by following YouTube tutorials/patterns. If you prefer written books, I've heard "Harmony" Guide to Crochet Stitches is pretty good! g.co/kgs/GW6d9z1
Hello and welcome! I'd recommend to follow a tutorial on Youtube, this way you can see how each stitch is made and is connected to the next :) Hope you find plenty inspiration here, happy crafting!
Hi & welcome. Enjoy your time & keep on crocheting. Practicing will make you a better & you'll learn from mistakes what to do better.
Happy crocheting :)
