As I read your post it sounded so much like what I've been saying and thinking, but about different crafts. I've collected so many gorgeous patterns including hand bags, quilts, dolls and much more. I can't ever go too long without adding to my stash, a few yards of fabric, new patterns or even something as simple as a few spools of ribbon or some pretty buttons! And, I want to try every craft I see. I have a collection of jewelry making supplies and have a pretty good collection of silicone molds and resin. At my age I to have high and unrealistic hopes! Realistically, I know if I stopped collecting right now, I will probably never get to use even half of the stuff I have collected. I've loved sewing and crafting all my life. But, between raising kids and not having a lot of money to spare, my craft supplies could fit in a couple of boxes. Here I am retired and have enough craft stuff for a well supplied craft room and find myself wishing I had all these things when I was younger. But, this addictions keeps gnawing at me and I have to feed it. So, when I see a new pattern or craft item I think I can't live without I'll grab it. The good thing is I have a grand-daughter who is only 9 years old right now, but she's a born crafter to. She hates throwing some things away saying, I can make something out of that! So, my beloved collection will still be loved long after I'm gone.
