Is there a way to add to a file to an existing thread? For instance, the files available are zip files. I had to put all the jpegs together so I don't have to consistently keep opening them to get to the next page. I made it into a PDF file. Is there a way to add that or do we just open a new thread? If we open a new thread with a different file source, is that sent to the recycled area?

If it's a duplicate copy, will my post be taken down? For me personally, I'd rather have ONE file in PDF format rather than a bunch of JPEG files that you have to keep opening when using the pattern. Or will the PDF be added? I'm just trying to make it easier for people. I do this with some of the RAR files I've downloaded. With PDF, I just print and it's simple. I don't use my phone when reading patterns. Opening all these jpegs can be monotonous with my computer. It slows my pc down, too.
I just want to be sure if I should upload.
Again, thank you so much Turquoise for always being there, answering and helping me out.

Yes, It will be duplicate for us and duplicate posts are deleting in our site ... I am sorry
We respect to our users and our policy always first upload should be on the site/forum... Only exception is about "better copy"
PDf and jpg file choises mostly personal things... I know so many people asks "jpeg" version than PDF file... Maybe phone users love PDf files too ...
Thank you so much for asking!!!:D
It is not our point ... Our point alway first uploader and better quality of scan

[message] => Yes, your upload would be the same thing, a duplicate, with the same exact pictures, and anyone can make a PDF out of it if they prefer this format (I do it all the time).
But, if you run OCR (so that text can be selected) and it is done RIGHT, it could be considered a better version.
Or if you found a better scan, with better resolution, that would be a better quality upload and it would no be marked as a duplicate.

I put ALL the jpegs into one PDF. I print out patterns because I hate reading a screen. Our eyes are always on screens nowadays. When the book or magazine offered has A LOT of pages, it can be a pain in the butt. I always make sure they're in order. Also, with this one particular leaflet, some of the scans are at the edge of the page. No margins. If you print, some words will be lost. I gave some of the images a margin. It's just my preference but it just makes it easier for printing when all pages are in ONE file. Then I bind it. I'm old school. I like tangible patterns I can bring with my project and make notes. I don't know if anyone else is like that but I figure if someone is, one file might help them.
Call me crazy, but for singular patterns with less pages, I'll laminate. That way, they don't get ruined. It's just my OCD. LOL

I prefer pdf too. But now it's easy to convert images into a pdf and vice versa than 10 years ago. It's one google search away. If the quality of the upload is the same, then it has no added value.
