It's not an old lady's hobby.  A lot of the new pattern designers are quite young.  However, now that I'm older needing reading glasses to do it...  HAHAHAHA  I learned from a Russian lady with a yarn shop. With the University of YouTube, you can learn anything now.  However, learning from someone is way better.  You can ask questions that's particular to your project.
