Some designers are terrible, and will never fix known issues with their patterns. Others are awesome and do offer support either by email or by releasing an update that fixes the issues. No way, no!
I will invest a long time and a lot of effort knitting/crocheting a piece, and I need the pattern to be reliable.

Life is too short to knit shitty patterns!

If it's something tiny, I'm willing to try. Or if it's something I'm so familiar with that I know how to modify it on the fly. But I can't be bothered trying 99% of untested patterns.
