If you had only opened the first file it would not work right. You have to open all files together to have complete file, like a complete PDF. Has anyone downloaded a pattern with multiple .rar files?  When I go to unzip the files the first one has all the files and the second is empty.  I am frustrated that I am spending coins on an empty file.  This has happened 6x today!

When files are spread across multiple rar's  it is because files must be 10mb or smaller each on the board so bigger files have to be broken up onto several rar's. If you had only opened the first file it would not work right. You have to open all files together to have complete file, like a complete PDF.

In the future please but a link to the post or at least the title you are talking about so if there is an issue a moderator or member can be more help.

As you said,the first have all the files.
When you have multiple rar files you have to download them all at once.
Than you only open the first file,so rar1.
In rar1 all the files are there from the second,third etc file.
So the other files are not empty,but you do need them all to get the complete file.
So when you have 7 rar files,you download them all,and only open the first rar file.
If you open one of the others you will get a message that there are files missing.

Hope this is all clear now?

This is just how compression works. You can't save coins, you need all the rar files in order to obtain the full content
