It actually depends on what you are going to do, and it's also up to you. For toys the best option is the yarn for this specific work, but you can choose any made of 100% cotton which are yarns for babies and usually are hypoallergenic. Now if your work is summer clothes or crochet like Clones Lace, Bullion and Bruges so I recommend you a thinner yarn.
