And as Strawberry Cat says ,sometimes the download doesn't work,and people try more times to download.

You can check your incoming coins here:
www.pindiy.com/home.php?mod=spacecp&ac=credit&showcredit=1

We cannot really know how many people actually downloaded a file, as some may download it several times (for example if the download fails). The number of "htank you"-comments is meaningless, as many just post a thank-you to get the coins for the reply.

The comment button will show up once you've reached level 1, at 26 credits (it looks like a coffee cup).
