Hi, so I've noticed that some patterns I am unable to purchase as they are only available to specific people. This seems to have nothing to do with user group as it looks like diy0 users have purchased them.

Why is this and is there anything I can do to become a specific user.

There is no way to find out who purchased a pattern so I don't think your statement about that is correct.

All the answers in a thread are simply a thank you for posting.

I'm wondering if the patterns talked about are brand new and haven't been moderated yet.  I fell into this trap several months ago, I thought I couldn't get a particular cross stitch chart, but it was in the new section and soon became available.
