There is no risk at all, the problem you are facing is on your device and your security settings.

I am an advance computer/device user, trust me, my security settings are set to avoid all viruses, trojans. My firewall is up, 3rd party cookies blocked, anti malware is running.
Browsers I use: Opera, Firefox and Chrome and have been on this site for 9 years and have never had an issue with security or downloads from this site.

My suggestion is for you to figure out why your device is giving you this message and adjust settings where necessary, or ask your local IT consultant to help you out.

Could also be that it is running macros. When macros are used in an Excel doc. for example, you will also get this warning. :-)  Post time 2022-1-17 01:56

Probably because it's a executable file. You can disable this warning in various operating systems and email systems but I don't advise it!  Post time 2022-1-17 01:46

For some reason I get the error only for Pattern Maker downloads. They are completely safe and will do no harm to to your machine. I have all the same security features as you do. Odd how it does it  Post time 2022-1-17 00:20
