I used it to make a child's afghan. It's one that you make the main part in single crochet and then cross stitch on it. It's not holding up well and I'm noticing it's actually stretching and is almost twice as big as when it made it. My mum tells me that used to be made with something called "bounce back fibre's" But she says she thinks over the years they stopped with that and it now a very low quality yarn which produces very disappointing results. Lion Brand is a little more expensive but if you're going to make something you may want to wash or use more than look at you may want to use what the designer suggests. Very good luck. Hi! I have little confusion on choosing which yarn to use for my project.

I saw a beautiful crochet cropped sweater pattern on youtube and wanted to try it myself, but in the video she recommended to use Lion brand pound of love yarn and I thought of using Red Heart Super saver yarn as it is cheaper than Pound of love. So my question is If I use super saver instead of that which she recommended would it be nice for a crop sweater and would it give a perfect shape and finishing like the one in the video?

If you want to see the video search for crochet mossy cropped sweater and the first video from October Grae is the pattern.

So I need your consultation to start my project.

There's Yarnsub, which offers very close matches for any given yarn if you are looking for substitutes. It's a pretty useful source.

You may be disappointed with Red Heart Supersaver. I used it to make a child's afghan. It's one that you make the main part in single crochet and then cross stitch on it. It's not holding up well and I'm noticing it's actually stretching and is almost twice as big as when it made it.
