I agree with most of the comments here. The original post makes it sound soooo easy to earn coins. In reality it's not easy at all and very misleading especially for new members. It is easy to earn a few coins, but if you want a pattern that is 200 or 300 coins, you are going to be waiting quite awhile.
As far as the sign in bonus----Sure it could have been a bug, but with all the things that can be done on a website, I have absolutely NO doubt there's a way to limit it to once in a 24 hour period. But, it's easier to just take it away. Here's an idea, if the bug can't be fixed, why not increase the hourly bonus a few coins to compensate for the loss of 50 coins??
I do think the number of coins you can charge for a pattern should have a limit. I have a few in my favorites that are 200 to 300 coins, but I'm pretty sure I will never spend that many hard earned coins on them. I also think the 30 coin download fee is to much. Another website I was using only charged a 5 coin download fee, I could download 6 for what one costs here.
To be honest, this site is a place to share/sell/download patterns. We come, we search, we buy, we download and gone. simple as that. removing log-in gold and make it harder for some people to spend time hyping this site and for what? its harder to download and the selling price is off the roof..for what? you try to solve problems by make it worsen..
ps: i saw a pop up about me getting 10 gold couple of times already, but never getting them. stuck with 5 cold crap!
