Well, that's got about 193 yds in 4 oz., which is probably aran weight. The pattern calls for fingering weight, which would have about 400 yds in 4 oz. I think you'll run into some major problems with gauge with that large a difference in the yarn. If you have lots of experience in modifying patterns, you can probably figure out a way to get around that, but otherwise, I'd strongly recommend going with fingering weight yarn, even if you have to go with a solid color. Sorry :(

Pretty easy, LOL - I used gradient yarn so it does all the work. This is all in cotton for a chemo hat, so I used Lana Grossa Summer Lace degradé, which is especially nice as it has the gradient through only 50g as opposed to 100g.
light for me is to keep her spirits and strength up and I am sure that if she have friends who care this period will be as light as possible
