Warm all year cardigan for boys and girls. A heirloom!
This crochet cardigan is inspired by the classic, Scandinavian stranded knitting-patterns. Being Norwegian, I’ve learned to appreciate
them as part of my cultural inheritance. The basic pattern is quite simple, dcs and scs in a repeating 2-row-pattern.
Once you’ve got the hang of the pattern, the sweater works up real fast! The yoke is worked like a large Granny Square,
only open in front. The two colored yarn strands are switched on every second row; You pick up the color you
need where it’s located, no yarn-breaking. The sleeves are raglan-shaped, giving room for a turtle-neck, etc, under the cardigan.
Front closed with traditional pewter-buttons; Any matching buttons are nice!
