I can help you but I'm a knitter. I don't think it matters. I make lots of toys for sale. Stuff face tightly. You can either crochet eyes in or use google eyes and glue them. For the nose, take a needle with yarn go in and out through 2 stitches, then make a "v" on either side on the nose. If you want a bigger nose, just build on it. The mouth can either go straight or round it up into a smile and put a little tuck on the center bottom lip and don't forget eyebrows. For a little cleff, pull needle with thread through to other side and pull, you will see a little dent. Use a red crayon for cheeks (fro Santa also put on his nose). For eye lashes use embroidery thread go in and out of 2 stitches or however long you want the lashes to be. Hope this helps you:)
Hi! There are some links for tutorials on pinterest. I like the needle sculpting from Russian patterns but, I have a hard time with the deep eye sockets...my safety eyes will no longer fit! lol. If you find a good tutorial please post!
If you put 'How to shape a dolls face' in your internet search engine (crochet or knitting) there are plenty of posts showing different ways to help you, out there................
there is a book on sale.. unfortunately I don't have it but in this book, there are many different ways of sculpting the face, I hope it will be available here soon.
