i hope i put this in the right place.
ok i got a new pattern today and there was a link to how to do the stitch. i wish more patterns provided this.
well this stitch has a number of names for it. in the pattern it is called the coin stitch. in the video link that was provided it is called a tuck stitch. Now in Barbara Walker’s stitch dictionaries (my Bible) is known as a Blister Check. so if you need a video on how to do this stitch you can search one of the three names provided.
it can be very frustrating when trying to learn how to do a new stitch when it can be called a number of things.
this is a drop and unravel stitch. you drop the number of rows that are suggested. then pick up the live stitch. Put your working needle into this stich from front to back. Make sure that the droped stitches are on top of the needle, then knit as normal. the droped stitches are worked into this.
can you see how your working needle is behind all of the unraveled stitches. bring your yarn up and over as a normal knit stitch
this is to be done one stitch at a time acording to your directions.
i hope you found this informative.
