Sorry if this is a stupid question, but for your current projects have you sealed the back before starting the project. If so, does it make it difficult to get the needle through the holes etc?
The sealer is actually put on after main stitching is done. I work with dollhouse rugs, so I've completed the majority of it, then blocked it, and seal it. But I still have to put an edge and bind t

The sealer is actually put on after main stitching is done. I work with dollhouse rugs, so I've completed the majority of it, then blocked it, and seal it. But I still have to put an edge and bind the sides.
But even then, I still have no problem getting the needle through the threads, as it just loosens them up a little so they aren't as stiff. They do still hold their shape, though.
