using erasable highlighter pens

I make a copy of the chart and use highlighters and if there is a lot of confettii I will use
a post it note under the area Im stitching

I din't know that there were erasable highlighters. What a good idea. I sometimes use frixion pens which can be heat erased.

I use an eraseable highlighter too, for the larger projects, especially if there are many color changes.  I really like the idea of a post-it note - thanks everyone :)

I use highlighters to highlight all of one symbol, so that I don't miss some. Then I mark the blocks I've stitched with a pencil. I make a blown up copy of the pattern so I can see it better.

It depends on the project, small easy stuff, I just stitch from a copy.  I use a magnet to keep my place.  I bought a ruler but like the post it paper better.:D

I usually work in grids then just highlight the grid I'm stitching - usually 10*10 so if i make a mistake I don't have to unpick too much!

I always make a copy of my original pattern & the harder parts I crop & enlarge, that way I can use the highlighter without worrying about my treasured patterns which I keep in plastic sleeves in binders.:):)

I have never marked my work.... somehow I always just manage to figure out what was done and what was not.

Hope you don't do this to an original chart.  Make a copy to work with.  My daughter uses a yellow h ...

I always make a copy and then use a 3B pencil to mark the stitches off. This is easily rubbed off.
