As I have been going through my hard drive sharing with you some of the project's that I had done, I thought I would continue and share some more..
Hope none of you will get bored of seeing my posts and seeing what I've made.. I love sharing.
(you should see my instagram lol)
This one, is Noah's Ark. It was free in one of my crazy mag's and I was reading it whilst at my sister's and showed it to her, she asked me to photocopy the design for her as she wanted to stitch it.. So I did. She had it for about a week before giving it back to me, and asking me to stitch it myself for my nephew for his Christening as a present. I was delighted to have her ask me because I didn't know what to get him, at least this would be something personal from myself to him. And with it having Noah's Ark in, it was a story in the bible, so in our eyes an appropriate gift to give him.
This is my completed stitch:
I had done a work in progress of the whole of this design, the way I had done it, was when I had done one colour, I took a picture and then started the next colour etc.
With this, I had started from the bottom, and worked my way up. I found it easier to work like this, and with the photocopy I had originally given my sister, I used it to make off what I had done, I did it like this so I didn't deface the original in case I ever need to stitch this again.
I didn't want to add ALL the work in progress's and I also didn't think to take a picture of the finished piece with my nephew's information on.. Which was his name, stating it was for his Christening, and when the date was he was Christened.
In total, I stitched this within a week.. I just couldn't put it down I spent hours working on this. Multiple times I had stabbed myself with my needle too lol but it was so worth it.
