Not sure if I am posting in the correct place, but I wanted to share with you all the first project that I had done for my best friend's wedding July 2013.
It did not take me that long to do, and it was fun to make as well. I was looking through some of her cross stitch books that she had, and found a project for a ring cushion.. I knew that her 1 year old son would be carrying it, so I bought some organza ribbon to sew on to it to tie the rings up, in hope that he wouldn't try and take them off!!
I had bought some burgundy and cream satin material & burgundy ribbon, as that was her theme for the wedding was Burgundy & Cream which was quite nice combination.
Here is the finished result:
I had to hand stitch the completed cross stitch on to the satin which was difficult, mainly because I didn't think to use pins (oops) and then I had to hand stitch the cushion together, stuffed it and then sewed up one of the corner's once I had filled as much as I could. In all honesty, I don't think I did a bad job.
