Hi,

I'm just starting my first big, beaded design - the Mirabilia queen mermaid.  I'm using a scroll frame.

Should I add the beads as I go along or wait and bead at the end?

If I have to scroll the beads will they mark the fabric they're rolled under?

When someone visits this page from a link you share, you will be rewarded

I always stitch the beads last of all.  You're right about scrolling - you may loosen the stitching holding the beads.

And if you have to unpick anything - we all make mistakes!! - then you don't want to have to unpick the beads too.

I also leave mine til the end of the project.  I'm always afraid of crushing the beads when using a hoop.

I know some that lay felt ove the beading as they scroll it. I bead as I go if it's heavy beaded. It's just easier to me.  Post time 2013-12-9 04:09
