Home Depot, and I'm sure other home improvement stores, sell plastic tubes meant to hold florescent light bulbs. They come in either 4 or 8 foot sections. I get them, cut them down to size, and store my projects rolled u.

I am thinking about storing my WIP rolled up in tubes, but not sure which - plastic or paper.  Am also concerned about acid content - acid free paper is not commonly sold where I live.  Anyway, it would be worth the effort looking for them.

Right now, I have the current project folded up (sighhhh) and stored away in a plastic bag between stitching sessions.
