I've bought aida 25ct. is it the same like linen? i want to make "HAED Christmas Tree Bear". But it ...
Aida is different from linen & evenweave because aida threads are already grouped in blocks. The blocks are neat little squares making counting and seeing the holes easier. With linen & evenweave, we need to train our eyes to visually 'group' the threads in twos, hence the 'over 2 threads'.
With a HAED design, aida might work better ! When trying out evenweave / linen for the first time, select a design that has most of the stitches in a group eg a mouse. This will help with getting used to the new fabric.
Thanks dagada. Because I stitch so slowly, I start imagining how it will look like when finished, but find that it's more real to just stare at the charts ;P
Totally agree. She has a way of blending the colours so subtly, resulting in delicate nuances that are rich at the same time.
Thanks for popping by
