Attach cross stitch to card

I have been stitching a margaret sherry sketchbook pattern and now I want to attach it to a card. But how can I do this without seeing the parts where it is attached to the fabric (linnen)?

the only thought I have is use elmer glue sticks that dry clear. that's all I got :)
