There's a little story about this. I originally wanted to write something in kanji which was related to the cat's mood. Something like @leave me alone!@, [url=home.php?mod=space&uid=34188]@go[/url] away!@ or @be quiet!@. The problem is that all the sentences I came up with, written in kanji or hiragana, were far too long or complex to be embroidered into the sign. In other words, I would have needed a much bigger sign if I wanted to embroider those with a minimum of clarity. So I decided to use a Spanish word which is actually used to chase away cats: ¡sape!, which actually sounds a little bit like Japanese. Being a Spanish word, it should be written in katakana. Said by an angry cat it should have the meaning of chasing unwanted people away :lol [/align][align=left]- The collar is made of embroidery thread and it uses a stitch called @Romanian cord.[/align][align=left]- He’s holding the bell because the sign takes to much room and I couldn’t hang it in the collar.[/align][align=left]- His left paw (the one holding the jingle bell) is actually movable and can bounce forward and backwards (like an actual maneki neko!) thanks to a mechanism that is hidden inside the cat.
