I would recommend that you make sure other people can understand your pattern, either thru test knits to tech editing.Also making sure you are using standard symbols and termanology.There is nothing harder than trying to read and understand a pattern that doesn't use standard termanology.

1. always have a terminology page (make sure you're consistent throughout as well)
2. with knitwear you probably want to have a medium, small, and large size (usually by multiplying or dividing the pattern, id recommend watching vids too)
