Attaching arms
I've made a few sweaters but they've all been raglan because I think it's much more convenient. The only knit piece I've had to attach was my first ever knitted article of clothing which was a jacket but I hate how the sleeves cause there to be a big bump where they're connected to the body at the shoulder. Is there any way to attach arms so that you don't get this bump or are you supposed to block it to get rid of it? I've tried looking on YouTube but I have no idea what I'm supposed to put in the search bar so I'm a little lost. I'd just like any advice because I really hate the look of that awkward bump but I also hate the look when the sleeves pinch in where they connect.I was thinking about maybe increasing a crazy amount on the last row of my sleeves and that way I could connect the sleeve and only use one bar per knitted V which avoids that pinched-in look but I don't know if that would work. Any tips are greatly appreciated
Have you tried grafting? It means sewing live stitches, not sure if that's something you can still do, or if you would need to undo a bind off at the top of the sleeves.
I like seamless top-down sweaters because I don't need to worry about seams, the downside is they have less stability/durability, everything sags down with time :)
