The pattern would of course be freely available in another language, but would us translating it make it a 'purchase' pattern? My train of thought is that the translation would not be available online, because we used time on it translating. Hope I explained the matter understandibly. What is considered a Free pattern on this site

Edited by anniekins at 2024-2-1 13:41

It has been mentioned many times here that this site considers patterns free only when they can be downloaded directly from the designer or a representative of the designer.

If you need to register for an account or provide an email address in order to download a pattern, then that is NOT free for us.

Please do not report patterns here that can only be downloaded after registering for an account somewhere else or any other stipulation.

To clarify : Free means a direct link to download, no strings attached.

Free also means free always and not for a limited time.

Patterns that are available for free for a limited time (with a special code or not) can be reported here:

This is a partial list of sites that offer free patterns with an account or registration. I will be adding to this list regularly:

Bergère de France
Expression Fiber Arts
Lion Brand
Lovecrafts
