my new crochet hooks arrived!
I have been waiting weeks for these, yes ok I irdered them from China so it's an average waiting time but they have silicone handles and I'm so happy!! The hooks I have been using up until now and straight and made from metal and the fingers get sore after working with one for so long. Also the pencil grip is simply impossible to do on the aluminum ones (a pic of them below from google because I'm too lazy to go take a pic of mine) and then there's a pic of my new hooks that just got here. I just tested one and the grip is amazing. I highly recommend silicone handles! the new ones range from 1.0mm to 6.0mmI love them! Think I need some! when I started crochet, I also bought hooks with rubber handle, they were my favs. but with time the rubber started to lose around the metal and it caused uncomfy sensations when i crocheted. if you can afford it i'd recommend investing in clover or hamanaka hooks. but if these hooks work for you than you are perfectly good! they do look pretty and cheerful! happy crafting I have a set similar to these with the silicone handle and I love them. Much more comfortable. Those are pretty! Personally I prefer the pure metal ones (aluminium or steel, depending on the size) :) I had to google it to find out, but I use a pencil grip or "underhand" grip (the other one is knife grip or "overhand" grip). I've never had a problem with the crochet hook slipping, but no idea why. Have fun with them
