What to do when you find inaccuracies in a repaint?

I really do appreciate repaints: they're so much more readable than the majority of patterns posted here. However, I always download the pattern AND the repaint to compare them. Some repaints are great! Uncannily accurate!
Some repaints, however, are... not. And I'm not talking one or two squares, I'm talking entire wrong shades, multiple of them.

What do we do in that case? Do I just quietly correct it for my own use, or let the original poster know, or let the mods know? What's the forum etiquette around this?

The only way you can know if there are inaccuracies is if you compare the repaint to the actual scanned pattern. Have you done that?
