I am largely self-taught and don't know what the stitches are called, so please bear with me: When I get to the end and have to do the double loop thing to start a fresh line going the other way, I always do the same double loop, then a single loop, then go back into the rest of the crochet. To stress - I am doing exactly the same thing, both ends, every line. And it had been a straight, even line until just now. Suddenly, it's looking jagged and raggedity. I'm not sure why or how. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice? I would appreciate it! (This isn't hugely important, mind, as I will be putting a ribbon around the edges anyway, but would like to know how to fix it for future problems). Crocheting Straight Edges?

So! I have experience croteching and am working on a rather large project. Life has gotten very busy and I had to put down my project for a while (only a couple of weeks). I am largely self-taught and don't know what the stitches are called, so please bear with me:

When I get to the end and have to do the double loop thing to start a fresh line going the other way, I always do the same double loop, then a single loop, then go back into the rest of the crochet. To stress - I am doing exactly the same thing, both ends, every line. And it had been a straight, even line until just now. Suddenly, it's looking jagged and raggedity. I'm not sure why or how.

Could it be something with the yarn if you added a new ball lately? Or that your tension is a bit off for some reason?
