I have some tips from family from Australia though: Keep windows and curtains closed during the day. This might sound counterproductive, but it blocks out the heat and sun. You can also stick white paper or kitchen foil to your windows facing the sun if it's really hot. You should also use a fan of you have one, stagnant air feels much hotter than moving air. Take cold showers if you're getting very hot. They don't have to be long, just 30 seconds or a couple of minutes Dampen small towels and put them in the freezer. Place them on your head or the back of your neck. Sucking on ice cubes can also make you cool down a lot. Drink plenty of water, but be aware that you can run low on electrolytes. Fruits like bananas, oranges, melons etc are some good sources or you can get sports drinks containing them. Some of these might seem a bit over the top, but it might be worth trying a couple if you're struggling with the heat. I live in the UK, my house has very good insulation which is nice 90% of the time, but now it's like living in an oven! I have some tips from family from Australia though:

Keep windows and curtains closed during the day. This might sound counterproductive, but it blocks out the heat and sun. You can also stick white paper or kitchen foil to your windows facing the sun if it's really hot. You should also use a fan of you have one, stagnant air feels much hotter than moving air.

Take cold showers if you're getting very hot. They don't have to be long, just 30 seconds or a couple of minutes

Dampen small towels and put them in the freezer.
