Considering that all of the hobbies on here are supposed to be enjoyable I find that I have to put it away when it is no longer giving me joy. I usually find that I get back to it within a week or so. I have to confess tho…I never put a project away if there’s a problem with it. First I fix the problem then put it in a “time-out” until it learns to behave. (Like it’s not my own fault lol) then when I get back to it I don’t dread it and we pick up like old friends. Sometimes I put it away too many times and accept that I am wasting my time being frustrated. At that point it’s time to repurpose or rehome it and move on. Such is life. Anyone else feeling really bored to start sewing after a break? I used to sew daily and now I'm struggling to start even something small

I get stuck in the same situation occasionally. Considering that all of the hobbies on here are supposed to be enjoyable I find that I have to put it away when it is no longer giving me joy. I usually find that I get back to it within a week or so. I have to confess tho…I never put a project away if there’s a problem with it. I do cross stitch, but to combat this problem I usually have a few different projects going at a time.. But sometimes I go a month or more without a single stitch! I try to do my other hobby in between so I don't get burnout. I think this ia the best way for me, otherwise it becomes too much if I stitch all day, every single day.
