Anyway, could anybody be so kind to help me with this two words in the pattern --they both look like abbreviations to me!:

Trousers
Needles 3 mm or 3.5mm if you knit too tight.
First stitch is a [b]RM[/b] take off.
Knit last stitch.

1. Knit the first 13 sts on the second leg, then knit the last 13 sts on the first leg (from 14th st to 26th st), turn = (26)
2. 26p
3.[b]ES[/b], 2k, double every 4th stitch, k, [b]ES[/b] =(32)
4-20. (17Rows) knit in stockinette st.(32)

Why don't you just write to the person who wrote the pattern and ask for an explanation.  They usually respond and are happy to help.  I don't normally knit toys so I don't want to download the pattern :-(

Therefore both mean edge stitch, one is just the german abbrevation for it that got mixed in.
