Credits - You get these when replying, commenting, making new threads, and actively browsing the site. You won't get a notification or a pop up when you gain credits. You need them to level up. It's displayed on the main page, next to your user group and avatar.

Gold coins - You get these when replying, commenting, sharing, doing tasks, making threads and selling attachments. There is an orange pop up window and/or a notification in your [url=https://www.pindiy.com/home.php?mod=spacecp&ac=credit&op=log]point log[/url] when you gain gold. You need them to buy attachments, set up bounties, and buy magic. It's displayed when you hover over the "Credits" tab on the main screen with your mouse. Currently, you have 166 credits, not enough for the next level.
