I don't understand why the remarks left in the Bounty Area are visible to "author only'. Then why allow people the leave a reply? 
Remarking in the bounty is no different than remarking in the forum. One does not need anonymity any more than on the forum.
"nice doll", "I hope you get it" etc. is the same remarks one gives on the other forums.
The one who places or claims the bounty should remain anynonymous if they desire.

Anonymity is the reason why replies in the Bounty Area are not visible to others.

The one whom posts the link to the pattern the uploader is asking for is anonymous when replies are set the way they are set. No one can in advance know whom posts a link, thus all replies are set to anonymous.

Moderators can see the posts. The bounty is given to the one whom posts the link, so one has to be able ot post a reply.

So how do I solve a bounty when I try to respond in the bounty thread with a link, but it says I'm not allowed to post urls?

I did write "thank you very much" in a comment, like the instructions on top of that forum section say, but I'm sure the link would speed things up for the moderation :D
