I use a floor stand and never stick myself. :) @talisa The larger the number, the smaller the needle. Und da die Schweizer (meist) deutsch können :): Die 28-er Sticknadeln, sind die feinsten/dünnsten. Die Stärken sind für Nadeln mit oder ohne Spitze gleich. Ich verwende für HAED die 26-er und sticke auf 28ct evenweave, das ist für mich die optimalste Lösung. Aber auch für 25ct Stoff würde ich 26-er Nadel nehmen. They will go in between the linen threads better. Pointed sharp needles will split the linen threads - and poke your fingers! Anyone can help?

For aida 18 ct, 22ct I use mostly blunt needles But when I stitch on 28ct, 32ct linen or evenweave I only use the pointed ones. I use a floor stand and never stick myself. :)

blunt needles for cross stitch, make sure you use the right size needle for the hole count and sharps for back stitch as they will slip through the middle of a cross with ease :)

I would definitely suggest you switch to blunt needles.They will go in between the linen threads better. Pointed sharp needles will split the linen threads - and poke your fingers! Save those sharp needles for your sewing & quilting. :)
