Sea Battle Intricate Cross Stitch
This one I finished last week. It will always have a special meaning to me. Was working on this the night we were waiting for hurricane Irma,to hit the tiny Island of Saint Martin. The destrustion was unbelievable, I am very thankful that my family and I survived. Our boat was damaged and still on the rocks now, we have been working on her ever since, but we were very lucky so many of our friends lots everything, some even their lives.Your work is gorgeous. I am sure this must be a very hard piece to look at sometimes with bad memories tied to it, but it also carries the good ones and all of your hard work. It is amazing how we can look at something we have created and remember the story of our lives during the time we were creating it. I am glad that your family is well and that your boat will eventually be all better too. Thanks for sharing your work and your story. Again really gorgeous! Incredible! The stitches are so well done that it almost looks more like a painting. Truly excellent work and under extremely trying conditions. I'm happy that you and your family came through safely. :) Very nice Lovely finish, thanks for sharing your emotions with us. It's not always easy to share painful emotions and talk about them. your work is beautiful. I hope, after few month, your life is better, your bad memories are not so painfull Amazing Shayla, I saw on the tv teribble pictures from the hurricane Irma, thanks for sharing, well done. :D This is great!!!
