if you are asking for the abbreviations

x means single crochet
V means increase
W means 3 single crochet in one stitch
A means decrease

and when you see things such as 18x means 18 single crochet for the following row or 6(x,v) means you need to do a single crochet then to the following stitch do an increase then multiply 6 times till to the end of the road. and start every row with a marker.
