But for one I used bleu and green with sponge and water and than dipped that on the cloth. Use a plastic sheet under your cloth its getting very wet and then let it dry and than rinse and rinse so its clear water I don't know yet if you can wash the cloth afterwards I will have to try that but I don't wash my cross stitch afterwards. Dying with watercolors

I dyed my cloth with water color what children use for painting. I left it for a day to dry and rinsed it the next day. Its very pretty.

You now those children painting boxes the flat ones with the disk in them and one brush very simpel childstuff. But for one I used bleu and green with sponge and water and than dipped that on the cloth. I've used fabric paint diluted and it worked fine.   Made it a bit stiff in areas tho, but it didcome out tolook like clouds in the sky.
