Very detailed information you have provided.

For me, I dont really grid the fabric, just the edges or one quarter of the chart so as to start my stitching.

Most of the time, I stitch from the centre.Sometime from the top right hand corner after I grid that corner from the centre.

I guess everyone have their own preference. :)
