I did this and felt the 1 over 1 looked less vibrant then the 2 over 1. Also a tip if stitching on aida do the same using 2 over 1 and three over 1. If it isn't economic choice or the piece is going to be treasured for many years i always go for the more vibrant choice. I also hate the fabric showing behind my stitches.
