Metal + plastic/silicone or fully plastic ones tend to get really "grippy" with certain yarns and with the kind of tension I have I wouldn't DARE touching a bamboo one.

I only use Tulip hooks but from what I've read Clover hooks and Tulips are nearly the same quality.
